Our Cuvee Contraire rose style blend is re-emerging re-imagined for the 2023 vintage!  From it's debut in 2000 (at the tail end of the white zinfandel craze) as a fresh, dry blend of white Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, and Gamay Noir, this bottling has evolved over the years, but has been missing from our line-up since 2017.  It's return is a 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir (barrel fermented free run juice captured on our processing line) and Chardonnay (also barrel fermented), with a small touch of red Pinot added to provide a light blush hue.  Chardonnay and Pinot Noir have been blended for many years in Champagne, but rarely made as a still wine ... think of it as Champagne without the bubbles! This fresh, lively wine is ready to enjoy this summer, but will gain complexity with a year or two in the cellar.
