The 2023 Pinot Gris Arancione is our most recent exploration into stylistic variations for Pinot Gris: a deep, dark rose-style wine inspired by interpretations from Northeast Italy / Slovenia, as well as some intrepid souls in the new world.  The grapes were destemmed and gently crushed, then enjoyed a 5 day cold maceration prior to pressing.  A long, slow cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed, and the wine was bottles just prior to the next harvest.  The wine is called "Arancione" (the color orange in Italian), reflective of its deep blood orange hue.  Enjoy now with hearty summer fare like grilled chicken, pork, and veggies such as eggplant and zucchini.
