In 2022, our Chardonnay vineyard was severely impacted by a mid-April frost that killed most of the primary buds.  Although the secondary buds grew vigorously, they were not very fruitful, resulting in dismally low yields. Due to this, we completed the harvest in a single day, and did not have enough fruit to make a “reserve” single vineyard bottling, so everything went into this cuvee.  The wine shows a restrained, mineral, almost Chablis-like nose, coupled with a broad, rich palate, achieving our signature combination of freshness and richness.  Enjoy now and over the next several years.
