Since 2004, our Chardonnay has been 100% estate grown from a small, 2 acre parcel sited on a steep, south-west slope, planted in 1999 and 2000.  This 2021 “reserve” version epitomizes the balance we strive to achieve from harvesting the block on 2 different dates.  The earlier pick is to emphasize freshness and citrus fruit flavors and aromas, and the later to contribute richer, riper tropical fruit characteristics.  A pure reflection of the beautiful 2021 growing season, the wine is supported by 1/3 new French and Oregon oak barrels.  It is a delightful full flavored, medium bodied Chardonnay at a modest alcohol level.
