Since 2004, our Chardonnay has been 100% estate grown from a small, 2 acre parcel sited on a steep, south-west slope, planted in 1999 and 2000.  This 2020 “reserve” version epitomizes the balance we strive to achieve from harvesting the block on 2 different dates, in this case 10 days apart.  The earlier pick is to emphasize freshness and citrus fruit flavors and aromas, and the later to contribute richer, riper tropical fruit characteristics.  A pure reflection of the beautiful 2020 growing season, and spared any impact from the early September wildfires that filled the valley with a smoky haze right before harvest.  It is a delightful full flavored, medium bodied Chardonnay at a very modest alcohol level.
